General Manager Frank Hess
When Frank Hess was a child, he watched Jeff Smith cook on his PBS show Frugal Gourmet and fell in love with the restaurant and hospitality industry.
Hess joined the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) family in 1999 and has more than 15 years of experience working at various CMR concepts in a variety of positions, including dining room manager, sous chef, assistant general manager and sommelier. He worked at another national steakhouse chain for a year before returning to the CMR family as general manager for Ocean Prime in Philadelphia. He recently moved back to Columbus and is currently the general manager for Cap City Fine Diner in Dublin.
For those interested in pursuing a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Hess suggests to say “Yes” to each new opportunity presented and to challenge oneself to learn something new every day.
He is a member of the Court of Master Sommeliers and has been honored as a Level 1 Sommelier. He graduated from Columbus State Community College and received a degree in hospitality management.
Hess resides in northwest Columbus with his wife, Katie and their boys, Arthur and Otis. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking and both watching and playing sports.
