Cameron Mitchell Restaurant

General Manager

For some, running a restaurant is a business. For us, it is our calling. Our passion for food and fine dining comes first, business second. We are a chef-driven restaurant. For you, that means fine dining at its best. We invite you to join us for an unforgettable culinary experience.

Ryan Kolsky, Gahanna General ManagerCo-General Manager Ryan Kolsky

Ryan Kolsky is the general manager at Cap City Fine Diner and Bar in Dublin. He first joined the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) team as a server at that Cap City Gahanna in 2012. After taking some time away to help friends with the opening of another restaurant, Kolsky returned to Cap City Gahanna and was eventually promoted to General Manager before transitioning to Cap City Dublin.

Originally from Zanesville, Ohio, Kolsky attests his interest in the food industry to the Food Network chefs he admired as a teenager including Emiril Lagasse and Mario Batali. During high school, Kolsky attended Eastland Career Center as part of the culinary arts program where he fell in love with the kitchen. He began his career in the restaurant industry at Max & Erma’s where he gained experience as a line cook, server and bartender, and then joined the corporate team as a lead trainer on store openings.

Kolsky enjoys working for CMR because the company taught him to love hospitality. One of his mentors once told him, “service is given, hospitality is felt,” and he truly feels that every day at CMR.

When asked his advice for others interested in a career in restaurants and hospitality, Kolsky said, “Read Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. If you get done reading that book and still want to work in a restaurant, you’ll know. Challenge yourself to learn something new every day, and always communicate with your team. This is a very demanding industry to work in but is by far the most rewarding.”

Kolsky holds a degree in U.S. History from The Ohio State University. He currently resides in Gahanna with his son, Nico, and their dog Gamora. Outside of work, he enjoys supporting the Cleveland Guardians, reading up on American political history and watching Law & Order SVU marathons.

Vanessa Forrester, Co-General Manager at Cap City Fine Diner at Bridge Park in Dublin, Ohio.

Co-General Manager Vanessa Forrester

Vanessa Forrester, general manager of Cap City Fine Diner and Bar in Dublin, joined Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) in 2018, but she started in the restaurant and hospitality industry years prior just to prove a point. A friend told Forrester that she would be a terrible server, so she got a job as a server to prove him wrong, and the rest is history.
“Genuine hospitality goes a long way,” Forrester says when asked what advice she has for those interested in pursuing a career in restaurants and hospitality. “You can make mistakes, but as long as you genuinely care, the guest will always have a wonderful experience.”
A native of Wooster, Ohio, Forrester earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Ashland University. Her favorite CMR dish is the Flatiron Pot Roast from Cap City Fine Diner and Bar.
“I am looking forward to all the new aspects I am going to learn, setting new goals, and continuing to grow with the CMR family,” Forrester says when asked what she is most looking forward to and hopes to achieve in her new role.
Forrester currently resides in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with her three children, Oliver, Benny, and Dexter. Outside of work, she enjoys crocheting, reading, and hanging out with her kids and her dog.
