Alex Wisniowski, executive chef of Cap City Fine Diner & Bar in Cincinnati, started in the hospitality industry at fifteen, falling in love with the art of cooking and the restaurant atmosphere. As a general utilities Associate, Wisniowski joined Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) in 2014 at The Barn at Rocky Fork Creek in Gahanna, Ohio. He has since helped open SoCal Kitchen + Bar in 2018 as a lead trainer, and worked as a sous chef at Cap City Fine Diner & Bar in Dublin, Ohio.
“Hard work, dedication, and passion truly pay off if you stay determined and focused on your goals,” Wisniowski states about the greatest lesson he has learned in his professional career. Wisniowski’s advice to those interested in pursuing a career in restaurants and hospitality is to, “learn as much as you can from whoever you can and make sure to think outside of the box. Don’t just live in the four walls of a box.”
A native of Pickerington, Ohio, Wisniowski’s favorite thing about working for CMR is the culture and vast opportunities the company offers.
Wisniowski currently resides in Amelia, Ohio, with his two children, Abel and Alexis. His favorite CMR dish is the Dry-Aged Kansas City Strip from The Barn, specifically with mushrooms and blue cheese. His interests outside of work include spending time with family, watching movies, grilling (specifically steak), and watching baseball, football & the Food Network channel. Wisniowski most looks forward to growing and teaching Associates to help them attain their goals.
